Lazio Linked With Possible Summer Move For Arsenal Owned Defender Kolasinac

Lazio have been linked with a possible summer move for Arsenal-owned defender Sead Kolasinac.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato yesterday, the 27-year-old Bosnian defender is set to leave Schalke at the end of this season, with the Bundesliga club succumbing to relegation after a depressing campaign.

Kolasinac will return to Premier League side Arsenal, where they are hoping to find a new home for the 27-year-old as his heavy £100,000 a week wages are painful considering that the player is no longer in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Lazio may look to sign the Bosnian defender on a free transfer in the summer if the North London club decide to mutually terminate his contract in order to facilitate a move.

Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi is a big fan of Kolasinac and believes that the Bosnian may be able to help strengthen the club’s backline.

Kolasinac has made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga this season for Schalke, for a total of 1245 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the side keep four clean sheets.
