Lazio Eye PSG’s Sergio Rico as a Possible Solution to Their Goalkeeping Position

At 38-years-old, Pepe Reina isn’t precisely the long-term solution for Lazio in goal. Although Reina is under contract for one more season, after several sub-par performances this season, it seems unlikely that the club will select him to be the starter for the 2021/22 season.

In addition, Thomas Strakosha might not be the one to lead Lazio in goal; after losing his starting position to the Spanish veteran, he has also been linked with a move away from Rome this summer.

As a result, the Biancocelesti have set their eyes on a potential transfer target to solve their goalkeeping situation heading into the future. According to Estadio Deportivo, Lazio is showing interest in former Sevilla FC and current Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico

Rico has spent the last two seasons with the French giants, where he’s the backup goalkeeper behind Keylor Navas, and it seems as though the 27-year-old has learned enough under Navas and wants to be a starter elsewhere.
