When Lazio’s name entered the mix, it seemed to be a result of their history with Santos.

The Biancocelesti signed Felipe Anderson from the Brazilian side in 2013; since then, they have held talks with the club regarding other players in the team. In addition, Kaio Jorge is managed by Giuliano Bertolucci; the same agent who carried out the sale of Felipe Anderson to West Ham in 2018.

Not wanting to ruin this relationship, they decided to speak out on the allegations linking the player to the club.

Below is the official statement that Lazio have published on their website and social media accounts.

It is yet to be seen where Kaio Jorge will end up; as a talented player, it seems only normal that several top clubs in Europe are expressing interest.

Compared to Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, he has great determination and off-the-ball positioning, which make him a threat in front of goal. Although he started as a No.10 early on in his career, the forward has since taken to a more attacking position.

Last season, the striker made 47 appearances across all competitions, where he scored nine goals and provided one assist.
