Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük have joined Real Betis in their interest in signing Lazio defender Mateo Musacchio.
According to a report from Italian journalist Nicolò Schira on Twitter earlier today, the 30-year-old Argentinian defender will leave the Biancocelesti at the end of the season as a free agent, after his contract expires.
Musacchio is currently on a six-month loan deal from AC Milan with an option to offer him a two-year deal, but the Roman club are not interested in exercising this due to the player’s disappointing performances over the last few months.
Both Real Betis and Fatih Karagümrük are interested in signing the 30-year-old Musacchio on a free transfer in the summer, giving the defender some options in regards to his future.
Musacchio has made five appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lazio, for a total of 259 minutes. In that time, he has completed two tackles, six blocks and four interceptions.
