Contracted to Feyenoord until 2025, Kökçü is worth around €10-12 million and has shown promise in recent seasons, despite suffering from inconsistent performances. In the past, Roma previously scouted the Turkish midfielder but focused on other options instead.

The 20-year-old Kökçü has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Feyenoord, for a total of 1828 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided two assists, as well as one straight red card.

One of his agents confirmed their presence in Rome with a post on Instagram, which read “Let’s see what happens in Italy.”
