Luis Alberto’s Serie A assists drought has finally come to an end
Over the 2019/2020 Serie A campaign, Alberto shined for Lazio with an astounding 15 assists over 36 appearances. But in Alberto’s opening 28 fixtures of the ongoing campaign, the Spanish playmaker failed to record a single league assist.
Alberto finally ended this drought during Lazio’s massive 3-0 win against AC Milan. The Lazio midfielder went on to assist Joaquin Correa for the Argentine’s second goal of the match, which essentially clinched the win for the Biancocelesti.
This was Alberto’s first goal contribution for Lazio since his score against Crotone in March.
Alberto now sits at nine total goal involvements in league play this season thanks to his eight goals scored and one assist over 29 appearances. More so, Alberto still maintains a formidable 2.2 key passes per game average in league play this season.
Alberto has picked up his form at just the right time for Lazio in this campaign.
