Formello: Lazio Coach Inzaghi to Start Either Wesley Hoedt or Marco Parolo Against Genoa

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is debating whether to start Wesley Hoedt or Marco Parolo in the defense against Genoa on Sunday.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, Italian defender Francesco Acerbi is suspended for the upcoming match against the Rossoblu after picking up his fifth yellow card of the Serie A season against the Rossoneri yesterday.

Due to this, Inzaghi is considering starting either Hoedt or Parolo in his place. Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe will not be risked, despite making progress, as he is still training separately.

Today’s training session saw those who beat AC Milan yesterday stay in the gym whilst the rest took to the pitch for a light session.

Gonzalo Escalante and Felipe Caicedo were both absent from the session. The latter has a chance of featuring on Sunday but is still currently being plagued by plantar fasciitis, which is causing him significant pain.

Escalante is less likely to be available as he is still suffering from a calf muscle problem.
