Parolo could still play another year and will sit down with Lazio to discuss the situation over the coming weeks. His current deal expires with the Roman club at the end of the season.

Parolo has enrolled at the coaching course at Coverciano alongside other notable faces in Serie A, like Domenico Criscito, Valon Behrami and Andrea Ranocchia.

The 36-year-old Italian is learning as much as he can from coach Simone Inzaghi and is also taking notes from other important coaches in his career, like Antonio Conte, Stefano Pioli and Roberto Donadoni.

The Biancocelesti midfielder could follow a similar path to that of Inzaghi, and start working with Lazio’s youth teams after completing his course.
