Lazio’s Luis Alberto Still Ranks in the Top Five in a Key Serie A Playmaking Stat

Lazio playmaker Luis Alberto recently ended a long drought when he recorded his first Serie A assist of the season during the recent fixture against AC Milan.

Alberto’s mere one assist recorded in league play this season is certainly a surprise considering that he has been among the more reliable on-ball talents for the team this season.

As noted by WhoScored, Alberto currently is tied with Atalanta’s Josip Ilicic and Verona’s Federico Dimarco for the third-highest key passes per game average in league play this season with a 2.2 figure. Ilicic currently sits at eight assists recorded over the ongoing campaign while Dimarco has a mere three assists.

Alberto has continued to create high percentage goal-scoring opportunities for teammates this season. Still, the Spanish midfielder has also watched such chances be put to waste.

Alberto will surely aim to do his part to help Lazio finish off the ongoing campaign on a high note.
