Ex-Lazio Striker Rolando Bianchi Provides Thoughts on the Top Four Race in Serie A

Lazio enters the final stretch of its season and currently finds itself five points outside the top four to clinch a spot in the UEFA Champions League competition. Simone Inzaghi’s side picked up a crucial win over AC Milan and still have a game in hand to inch their way towards a top-four spot.

Despite the odds against them, the Biancocelesti remains hopeful that they can have Europe’s top-flight football next season. Former Lazio striker Rolando Bianchi spoke to Sky Sport (via Lazio News) about the race in Serie A and who he believes will come away with the top four spots.

The former Lazio striker likes Inzaghi’s side to compete for a top-four spot but doesn’t go into any further detail about whether he believes the Rome-based club can clinch a Champions League spot.

I like Inzaghi a lot; I’ve always said that because he has, in addition to an excellent image, ability on the field, he knows how to manage a strong group. Normal must necessarily score points, so maybe it is better to be a little less beautiful but practical. I think that Atalanta, Juventus and at the moment Napoli can go to the Champions League (as well as Inter).

Lazio will need to rely on some help but will need to make sure they don’t drop any points for the remainder of their fixtures.
