Lazio Women midfielder Antonietta Castiello was overjoyed with the Biancocelesti’s 4-0 thrashing of Ravenna Women.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) after the game, the 24-year-old Italian spoke about the decisive win.

We had been preparing the match against Ravenna for a fortnight because of the break. The high level of concentration helped us. They are not a team to be underestimated, they are the only ones who have beaten us so far.

We wanted to recover and we did it; four goals and a clean sheet, better than that! Many girls in the group grew up with Lazio and to bring them back to Serie A would be a pride for all of us.

I don’t want to talk until the end because I’m superstitious! Pittaccio’s goal was instinctive, not prepared, then Martín has two sensational feet and puts the ball where she wants.

She then spoke about her teammate, Spanish forward Adriana Martín.

I joke with her in training and ask her why she doesn’t have her feet. She makes everything easier, even the most difficult things.

She feels good with us and we feel good with her, the victories help to strengthen the group. The sudden change of coach was not easy.

We have tried in every way to learn the dictates of the coach as soon as possible. This year is difficult, it seems like it will never end.

Finally, Castiello spoke about the squad’s desire to finish top of Serie B.

We want to win them all, we are not satisfied with second place. If we put pressure on Pomigliano, then we could finish above them.

Lazio Women currently sit second in the Serie B Women table after 23 games, sitting on 44 points. They are currently four points behind league leaders Pomigliano.
