Lazio midfielder Gonzalo Escalante resumed individual training today, ahead of Saturday’s match against Fiorentina.
According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 28-year-old Argentinian midfielder carried out jogging exercises at the training ground in Formello, continuing his recovery from the recent calf muscle issues that have plagued him.

Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe returned to squad training today, taking part in all exercises including ball-possession, only missing the final training match. The players who started on Sunday against Genoa also missed that training match.

Pepe Reina, Adam Marusic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Senad Lulic were all absent from today’s session, with coach Simone Inzaghi keen to allow the fatigued players to rest and recover. Felipe Caicedo was also missing, still dealing with plantar fasciitis.
Tactical exercises and preparation for Saturday’s match against Fiorentina will take place a little later this week, most likely on Thursday or Friday.
