Lazio Striker Immobile: “We’re Proud to Have Taken the Vaccine & To Be an Example”

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile was happy to have received the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Speaking to gathered reporters (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) after the Italy squad took their vaccines, the 31-year-old Italian star spoke positively about the procedure and was thankful for the jab.

On behalf of everyone, to the health workers who gave us the vaccine, thank you very much for your hospitality and organisation.

We were amazed and we are happy, we are proud to have done it and to be an example to everyone.

We still say that vaccination is important, I hope it will come soon for everyone. Thanks to you, the Government and the FIGC for this opportunity.

The Azzurri squad had to take the vaccines ahead of this summer’s European Championship, with all players at the tournament expected to have been vaccinated.

The 31-year-old Immobile struggled with Covid-19 earlier this season and was involved in the inconsistent Covid-19 test results case, although he committed no wrongdoing.
