Joaquin Correa has recently emerged as one of the most in-form attackers in Serie A as of late. Over Lazio’s last five Serie A fixtures, the Argentine forward has chipped in for six goal involvements, which includes the recent double against Genoa.
Lazio has longed for a key player that can help Ciro Immobile carry the attacking responsibilities upfront. And Correa is now doing just that.
Former Italian defender Ernesto Calisti sees that Correa is growing as a crucial player for Lazio. Calisti spoke further about Correa during his recent talk with the Italian-based outlet Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
I’ve seen in Correa the right competitive spirit that was asked of him, as well as the whole team. We hope that the Tucu continues like this, because he’s a player who shifts the balance. Criticism has done him good.
Correa now will look ahead to extending his current goals streak in the upcoming league clash against Fiorentina.
