Real Madrid Prepared to Pay €80m for Lazio Star & Inter Target Milinkovic-Savic

Real Madrid are prepared to offer Lazio €80 million for star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but it’s still too low for president Claudio Lotito.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Don Balon (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, Los Blancos have identified the 26-year-old Serbian midfielder as their first big target of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Real Madrid’s management have almost completely abandoned the idea of signing Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and are now focusing on Milinkovic-Savic, who has had a strong season in Rome.

The 26-year-old Milinkovic-Savic has made no secret of his desire to one day play for Real Madrid, but president Lotito is not prepared to sell the Serbian unless the right offer comes in.

Real Madrid are prepared to pay €80 million for Milinkovic-Savic, but Lotito wants at least €100 million, which has caused a standstill currently. Inter are also keen on the 26-year-old, but so far aren’t ready to pay more than €80 million either.

Developments are expected over the coming months, but considering that the Serbian is contracted to Lazio until 2024, it’s unlikely that Lotito’s position will change.
