Lega Serie A have officially announced that Crypto.com is the official cryptocurrency and NFT sponsor of the 2021 Coppa Italia.
As seen in a press release yesterday, Lega Serie A reached a partnership agreement with Crypto.com ahead of the 2021 Coppa Italia final between Atalanta and Juventus, which will take place on the 19th of May.
Serie A is the first football league to reach an agreement with a cryptocurrency and NFT platform and hopes that the partnership will extend beyond this season.
To commemorate the occasion, a unique NFT collection will be created including the Coppa Italia trophy, highlights and more for fans to purchase and own.
Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo spoke highly of the agreement, saying:
