ACF Fiorentina defeated a Lazio squad looking to make a final push into Serie A’s top four and clinch a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season. However, that didn’t occur for the Biancocelesti.

In his postgame press conference (via Lazio News), Fiorentina manager Giuseppe Iachini spoke about the defensive performance from his squad, who bent but didn’t break as they kept a clean sheet.

I’m happy; it means that teamwork has paid off, despite a terrible schedule with six away games and challenges against the big teams. Dusan is working well, but his teammates are also putting him in a position to do well. We must continue like this.
