Formello: Lazio Forward Caicedo Returns to Squad Training, Milinkovic-Savic Rested

Lazio forward Felipe Caicedo partially returned to squad training today, ahead of Wednesday’s match against Parma.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward re-joined his teammates for today’s training session, only missing out on the final training match.

The former Espanyol man has been suffering from plantar fasciitis in recent weeks, leaving him on the sidelines, but he’ll try to make the squad in time for Wednesday’s match against the already relegated Parma.

Argentinian midfielder Gonzalo Escalante also confirmed his progress, training regularly with his teammates after recovering from a calf injury.

Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic rested at home today after his fractured septum operation on the weekend. It’s hard to imagine him joining the squad for Wednesday’s match, although not impossible.

Coach Simone Inzaghi will carry out the usual pre-match tactical exercises in tomorrow’s session, and it remains to be seen how the 45-year-old Italian coach will redesign his midfield, with Lucas Leiva and Andreas Pereira suspended.
