Lazio came away with one of the more disappointing performances of its Serie A campaign during its recent 2-0 loss to Fiorentina. The loss for Lazio may have put to a close its top-four aspirations in Serie A this season.

Former Lazio defender Luigi Corino signals out that Lazio’s top players simply did not have their best day during the match. Corino discussed this showing from Lazio during his recent talk with the Italian-based outlet Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

As has already happened, when the big players are not at their best, the team risks losing to anyone.

Against Fiorentina, it was confirmed that Lazio does not have enough quality behind the strongest eleven when the big players are not on their day.

It is very difficult to face all the commitments with a squad that is not up to standard, especially the reserves, and the results of the season are proof of this.

Lazio now has a mere four matches remaining on its Serie A schedule.
