Lazio Coach Inzaghi Calls for Squad to Avoid Distractions Until End of the Season

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi has asked his squad to maintain maximum concentration until the end of the season.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti’s disappointing 2-0 loss to Fiorentina on Saturday means that the Roman club cannot afford to drop any more points now if they still want to achieve a top-four finish.

With Inzaghi’s future still hanging in the balance, and a new contract still not signed yet, there are serious implications for the team depending on whether they achieve qualification to the Champions League or not.

A top-four finish gives Lazio more room to make important investments in this summer’s transfer window, important considering the need to rejuvenate the squad.

The Biancocelesti’s next game is against the already relegated Parma tomorrow evening before they face Roma in the derby on Saturday night. The two games after that are against Torino and then Sassuolo.
