Lazio, Roma, AC Milan & Fiorentina All Interested in Expiring Inter Defender D’Ambrosio

Lazio have joined the list of Italian and French clubs interested in signing Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio on a free transfer this summer.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, coach Simone Inzaghi is a big fan of the 32-year-old Italian defender, whose contract expires with the Nerazzurri at the end of next month.

Whilst it’s still possible that D’Ambrosio will renew his contract with the Milanese club, his agents are sounding out the market, looking for a potential new home for the experienced Italian defender.

Roma, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Monaco have all expressed their interest in the former Torino defender, and whilst Lazio hasn’t made any concrete moves yet, they are also keen on the 32-year-old Italian.

D’Ambrosio currently earns around €2 million net per season, a salary that falls within Lazio’s parameters, but his age is of slight concern.

Sporting director Igli Tare wants to rejuvenate the squad this summer and lower the average age of the squad, but D’Ambrosio is an experienced player with strong tactical flexibility, and Inzaghi could request the player if he signs a new deal in the coming weeks.
