Lazio defender Wesley Hoedt has been absent from training since last week after he was replaced in the Serie A squad registration list.
According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 27-year-old Dutch defender was taken off of the squad registration list in order to make space for the returning Luiz Felipe, who has recovered from serious ankle surgery that was carried out in January.

Hoedt, who is currently on loan from Premier League side Southampton, will not play another game for Lazio this season, and so his second spell in Rome is over. Frustratingly for the Dutchman, he failed to impress this campaign and has often been left on the bench in recent months.

Hoedt has been missing from training this week and hasn’t trained with the squad since last Friday. The 27-year-old may return to Formello today, even if only in passing, as his future is now far from Lazio.
