Lazio Set to Be Honored With a Fair Play Award for Advocacy Against Gender-Based Violence and Discrimination

Before Lazio takes on Parma for a critical Serie A clash, club officials will be honored with a notable 2021 Fair Play Award by the Italian National Fair Play Committee (CNIFP), as noted by the club’s official website.

CNIFP president Ruggero Alcanterini will accompany Lazio club officials for a mini pre-game ceremony for this distinguished award. Lazio will become the first sports club to be honored with this award.

As noted by the CNIFP, the club’s work in being a vocal advocate against gender-based violence and discrimination coupled with its support towards the value of fair play earned the Rome-based club this prestigious honor.

To S.S. Lazio, from today Ambassador of Fair Play for having supported the social objectives of the A.MA.MI. project against all forms of violence and discrimination, exalting the principles of fair play among players and fans.

The CNIFP is a non-profit organization that is recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and is a member of the European Fair Play Movement. The independent body strives to promote the values of fair play within sports organizations along with the general principles of respect.

Lazio remains among the prime examples of fair play both on and off the pitch.
