Thomas Strakosha May Make First Lazio Start in Over 3 Months Against Parma Tonight

Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha could receive his first start in over three months against Parma this evening.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 26-year-old Albanian shot-stopper hasn’t played for the Biancocelesti since their 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Parma back at the end of January but could start against the Emilian side this evening.

Strakosha has had an incredibly tough season in Rome and has often found himself playing second fiddle to Spanish veteran Pepe Reina.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is planning to rest Adam Marusic this evening ahead of the derby against Roma this weekend, and so Patric is likely to start alongside Stefan Radu and Francesco Acerbi in defense.

Manuel Lazzari will start on the right side, with Mohamed Fares starting on the left. The rest of the midfield will be made up of Marco Parolo, Luis Alberto and Danilo Cataldi.

Up front, Vedat Muriqi may start alongside Ciro Immobile, giving Joaquin Correa some rest ahead of the derby.
