Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is aiming to play in Saturday’s derby against Roma after his strong performance against Parma.
According to a report from Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 26-year-old Albanian shot-stopper had a good game against Roberto D’Aversa’s Parma yesterday, keeping a clean sheet and making a number of important saves.
Strakosha was instrumental in helping Lazio earn all three points yesterday evening, making key stops against shots from Juan Brunetta, Riccardo Gagliolo and Hernani; The Albanian saved all four shots on target he faced in the match.
The 26-year-old Albanian is now aiming to start in the upcoming Derby della Capitale against the Giallorossi on Sunday night, hoping to finally return to playing consistently.
His current contract expires with the club at the end of next season and rumours are suggesting that he’ll be departing this summer, but there is still time for his fortunes to change, especially if he continues to perform well in the remaining games of the season.
