Former Lazio midfielder Giovanni Stroppa gave his take on the ongoing contract extension dilemma between manager Simone Inzaghi and club officials.

With Lazio now having a mere two matches remaining on its league schedule, there is now more and talk regarding whether Inzaghi will stay on at the club. Inzaghi will become a free agent manager at the end of the season as he still has not yet come to an official agreement with the club for a new deal.
Stroppa sees that Inzaghi could end up staying at the club under one condition, which he detailed further during his talk with the Italian-based outlet Cittaceleste.
His future will depend on the club’s ambitions for next season.
If the club provides him with what he asks for, he could choose to remain in the capital. His profile is ideal to imagine him leading Lazio forever. However, there are also the ambitions of the club to consider. This could push him to try different situations.
An important guarantee would be to give him a team to compete at the highest levels, at least in Serie A.
Inzaghi has won multiple trophies during his current stint as Lazio’s manager. However, this relationship could soon come to an end if Inzaghi and the club are unable to reach an understanding.
