Lazio Coach Inzaghi: “We Want to Extend Our Streak of Consecutive Home Wins”

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi highlighted how the team wants to extend their consecutive home wins streak tomorrow against Torino.

Speaking to Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 45-year-old Italian touched on Saturday’s painful derby loss to Roma and tomorrow evening’s game against the Granata.

We come from a great disappointment in the derby.

Tomorrow we have our last game at the Olimpico and we have to honour the season in the best possible way. We have a record on the line, we want to extend the streak of consecutive home wins.

Inzaghi then spoke about the physical condition of his squad.

It’s early, we played on Saturday night. Acerbi won’t be there for sure, as he’s been suspended but is also injured.

Correa won’t be there and the others will be assessed after today’s training session and tomorrow morning’s final session.

Lazio currently sit sixth in the Serie A table after 36 games with 67 points, eight behind fifth-place Juventus.

The Biancocelesti will certainly be playing in next season’s Europa League, a disappointing result considering the team’s fight for a top-four finish this campaign.

Torino, on the other hand, sit 17th in the table, only three points ahead of Pippo Inzaghi’s Benevento, who are at risk of relegation.

Simone Inzaghi could give his brother a significantly helping hand tomorrow evening, as a Torino win would confirm Benevento’s relegation.
