Lazio president Claudio Lotito has identified Massimiliano Allegri and Gennaro Gattuso as his top options to replace head coach Simone Inzaghi.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president has met with the former Juventus coach twice already at the start of this month to discuss his possible signing this summer.

Lotito has been unimpressed with the team’s results this season, as well as Inzaghi’s ability to get the most out of the non-starting 11 players, and so is considering replacements should the 45-year-old Italian not sign the contract extension.

While Allegri seems likely to head to Spain to replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, the Lazio president is also a fan of Gattuso, who is destined to leave Napoli this summer after suffering a relationship breakdown with Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Juventus and Fiorentina are also keen on Gattuso, but no concrete progress has been made yet.
