AC Milan are also keen to sign Lazio target Danilo D’Ambrosio on a free transfer this summer.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 32-year-old Italian defender is set to leave Inter at the end of next month after seven years, having enjoyed his part in Antonio Conte’s title-winning team this season.
The Biancocelesti management are big fans of D’Ambrosio and would like to strengthen the defense with the experienced Italian, who wants a contract of around €2.5 million net per season.
AC Milan are also interested in signing D’Ambrosio, with the Rossoneri also looking to shore up their backline in the off-season.
The stage is set now for a transfer market duel between the two clubs, both battling for the 32-year-old Italian defender’s signature.
D’Ambrosio has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 908 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and picked up three yellow cards.
