Formello: Strakosha & Muriqi to Start for Lazio Against Torino This Evening

Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha will start against Torino this evening, with Luiz Felipe starting in front of him.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, Spanish veteran Pepe Reina did not take part in today’s muscle recovery work in training but the 26-year-old Albanian shot-stopper did, meaning that he will start against the Granata this evening.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will be rested today, leaving Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro to start in his place. Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto are the other two starters in midfield.

The wing-backs will be Manuel Lazzari and Mohamed Fares, with Luiz Felipe joining Adam Marusic and Stefan Radu in the backline.

Up front, Kosovan forward Vedat Muriqi will start alongside Ciro Immobile, with Andreas Pereira on the bench. Joaquin Correa is suffering from a calf issue and Felipe Caicedo is still dealing with plantar fasciitis.

Coach Simone Inzaghi can do a favour for his brother Pippo tonight by beating Torino, as that would essentially set up a Serie A play-out game against Benevento on the weekend. A Granata win today would secure their spot in the top flight.
