Lotito Identifies Napoli’s Gattuso As His Top Choice to Replace Lazio Coach Inzaghi

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has identified Napoli’s Gennaro Gattuso as his top choice to replace coach Simone Inzaghi.

As reported by Italian media outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.com earlier today, there is a world of uncertainty surrounding the future of current Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 45-year-old Italian has still not signed a contract renewal with the Roman club and rumours are beginning to circulate that he’ll be leaving once his contract expires at the end of next month.

With Inzaghi’s future in doubt, president Lotito has been hard at work sounding out possible replacements for the 45-year-old. His preferred option is Gennaro Gattuso, who will be leaving Napoli at the end of the season.

Also wanted by Fiorentina, Gattuso will be leaving Napoli soon because his relationship with president Aurelio De Laurentiis has deteriorated to the point of no recovery.

First Lotito will sit down with Inzaghi and try to secure a new deal for him; should that fail, Gattuso will then become the priority.
