Lazio Open Talks With Atalanta’s Gollini Amidst Interest From AC Milan & Roma

Lazio have made contact with Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini’s entourage amidst interest from AC Milan and Roma.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today, the Biancocelesti are looking for a new goalkeeper after previous starter Thomas Strakosha’s fall down the pecking order this campaign. Spanish veteran Pepe Reina will not be the starter next campaign, so a summer reinforcement is required.

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has already contacted Gollini’s entourage and is sounding out the possibility of a move. Atalanta value the 26-year-old Italian at around €15 million, an affordable price tag for a well-appreciated shot-stopper.

AC Milan and Roma are also interested in Gollini and so a possible bidding war could take place this summer.

The 26-year-old Gollini has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2609 minutes. In that time, he has kept 13 clean sheets and conceded 28 times.
