Lazio, Atalanta and Napoli are all interested in Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti have sounded out the possibility of a deal for the 25-year-old Norwegian midfielder, who has impressed this season with Claudio Ranieri’s side.

Worth around €8 million, Thorsby is contracted to Sampdoria until 2023. The Biancocelesti will face competition from both Atalanta and Napoli for the 25-year-old, however, with the Bergamo-based club having the edge for the time being.

The 25-year-old Thorsby has made 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2763 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided one assist.
Thorsby is a strong, defensive-minded midfielder with good pressing and aerial ability. He would likely slot into the Lazio squad as a replacement for the ageing Lucas Leiva.
