Roberto De Zerbi’s side will likely line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation to start the match.
Andrea Consigli will start in goal; Jeremy Toljan, Vlad Chiriches, Gianmarco Ferrari and Giorgos Kyriakopoulos will make up the backline; Maxime Lopez and Manuel Locatelli will be the two holding midfielders; Domenico Berardi, Gregoire Defrel and Jeremie Boga will be the trident of attacking midfielders in support of lone striker Francesco Caputo.

Mateo Musacchio (muscle injury), Felipe Caicedo (plantar fasciitis), Joaquin Correa (calf injury), Francesco Acerbi (knee injury), Luiz Felipe (suspension), Luis Alberto (suspension) and Andreas Pereira (suspension) will be unavailable for the Biancocelesti against Sassuolo. In addition, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is expected to start from the bench to allow him to properly recover from his recent surgery.
