Below are the expected starting lineups of both Sassuolo and Lazio.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side will likely line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation to start the match.

Andrea Consigli will start in goal; Jeremy Toljan, Vlad Chiriches, Gianmarco Ferrari and Giorgos Kyriakopoulos will make up the backline; Maxime Lopez and Manuel Locatelli will be the two holding midfielders; Domenico Berardi, Gregoire Defrel and Jeremie Boga will be the trident of attacking midfielders in support of lone striker Francesco Caputo.

Giacomo Raspadori, Francesco Magnanelli and Filippo Romagna are the three players who will be unavailable for the Neroverdi against Lazio.

The five Sassuolo players who are one yellow card away from suspension are Berardi, Locatelli, Marlon, Pedro Obiang and Rogerio.

Thomas Strakosha will start in goal; Adam Marusic, Marco Parolo and Stefan Radu will make up the back three; Lucas Leiva will be the holding midfielder with Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro and Gonzalo Escalante to his right and left respectively; Manuel Lazzari and Mohamed Fares will start on the right and left flanks; Vedat Muriqi and Ciro Immobile will start in attack.

Mateo Musacchio (muscle injury), Felipe Caicedo (plantar fasciitis), Joaquin Correa (calf injury), Francesco Acerbi (knee injury), Luiz Felipe (suspension), Luis Alberto (suspension) and Andreas Pereira (suspension) will be unavailable for the Biancocelesti against Sassuolo. In addition, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is expected to start from the bench to allow him to properly recover from his recent surgery.
