Formello: Lazio Duo Immobile & Acerbi Still in Doubt for Clash Against Sassuolo

Lazio duo Ciro Immobile and Francesco Acerbi are still in doubt for the final match of the season against Sassuolo.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the pair trained separately from the squad today, running on the pitch after their teammates’ session was over.

The 33-year-old Acerbi suffered a right knee issue in the derby against Roma and so may not be risked against the Neroverdi with Euro 2020 just around the corner.

Patric, Mateo Musacchio, Felipe Caicedo, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto were all also absent from the squad session, with the latter two watching along from the sidelines in flip-flops.

The good news is that Joaquin Correa has seemingly recovered from his muscle issues. He initially worked separately from the squad, carrying out exercises with the ball and stretching, before joining them for the tactical exercises.

The 26-year-old Argentinian will start and is likely to be partnered with Vedat Muriqi, depending on the physical condition of Immobile.

Simone Inzaghi has still not confirmed his starting 11 yet, although other likely starters include Thomas Strakosha, Marco Parolo, Adam Marusic and Stefan Radu.

The wing backs are likely to be Manuel Lazzari and Senad Lulic. Lucas Leiva, Gonzalo Escalante, Danilo Cataldi and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro are all competing for the three starting spots in midfield.
