It seems increasingly likely that Lazio veteran Senad Lulic will join FC Zurich at the end of the season.

As reported by Swiss media outlet Sport.ch earlier today, the 35-year-old Bosnian’s contract expires with the Biancocelesti at the end of next month and he has not yet been offered a new deal, which is now seeming unlikely to ever arrive.

The experienced player is not yet ready to hang up his boots and so is still looking for a new home, with a return to Switzerland being his most likely option.

Lulic is close to signing a deal with FC Zurich, where he will find Serie A veteran Blerim Džemaili, who spent time with Torino, Parma, Napoli, Genoa and Bologna earlier in his career.

The 35-year-old Lulic, who has been with the Biancocelesti since July 2011, has made 19 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 756 minutes. He missed the whole first half of the season due to a serious ankle injury.
