Sassuolo Forward Raspadori: “Important Match for Us Against Lazio, We Want 7th”

Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori underlined the importance of the Neroverdi’s final game of the season against Lazio.

Speaking in an interview as reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 21-year-old Italian looked ahead to Sunday’s match against the Biancocelesti.

It’s an important match for us because we have the chance to get seventh.

It’s going to be difficult because we have to win and Roma have to lose against Spezia, but in the meantime, we’ll try to get three more points at home and then we’ll see what happens.

The Neroverdi striker then made a brief comment about the Biancocelesti.

I scored my first goal in Serie A against Lazio, how could I forget…

The 21-year-old Raspadori, who is contracted to Sassuolo until 2024, has made 27 appearances in Serie A this season, for a total of 1222 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

Sassuolo currently sit 8th in Serie A after 37 games with 59 points, two behind 7th place Roma. The Neroverdi still have the chance to qualify for the new Europa Conference League, but need to overtake the Giallorossi as currently they’d miss out.

Lazio have relatively little to play for now, sitting 6th in the table, seven points behind Juventus and seven points ahead of Roma.
