Decisive Meeting on Wednesday Between Lazio Coach Inzaghi & President Lotito

The saga surrounding coach Simone Inzaghi’s possible contract renewal with Lazio is set to come to a close this week.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 45-year-old Italian coach’s comments after yesterday’s 2-0 loss to Sassuolo seem to suggest that a possible farewell is on the cards, with the Italian unhappy with the long wait for a new deal.

This week, however, his future will finally become clear. A meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday between Inzaghi and president Claudio Lotito, where the 45-year-old Italian coach’s future will finally be decided.

The alternatives to Inzaghi are former Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso, who was dismissed by the Partenopei just after the draw against Hellas Verona, and Bologna’s Sinisa Mihajlovic. Another option is Porto’s Sergio Conceicao.

The feeling now is that Inzaghi’s cycle is slowly but surely drawing to a close unless their partnership can be renewed in this week’s meeting.
