Joaquin Correa capped off the 2020/2021 season with Lazio on a high note. The Argentine finished the Serie A campaign with eight goals, which included the recent doubles against Genoa and AC Milan.
After completing his third career campaign with Lazio, Correa took to Instagram to look back on the season. The Argentine forward comes away from the season pleased with the fight that his team showed throughout the second half of the Serie A schedule.
It has been a difficult and particular season, without our fans at the stadium and so many close games. We did our best, fighting until the end with one common goal, always. I am proud to be part of this group! See you soon!
Correa is well expected to remain with Lazio following the upcoming summer transfer window. Still, it remains to be seen whether he will keep his role as a starter with the team. Lazio could very well elect to sign a veteran center-forward to bolster its depth up front.
