Lazio playmaker Luis Alberto finished off the now completed Serie A campaign with only a mere two assists recorded. Still, Alberto managed to put together one of the top playmaking campaigns by any Serie A player this season.

The Spanish playmaker was heavily relied on this past season to be Lazio’s main on-ball playmaker. He became the player that Lazio teammates often looked upon to progress play into the opponent’s defensive third.

From there, Alberto often looked to create goal-scoring opportunities for teammates, which is noted by his 2.4 key passes per game average in league play this past season.

More so, Alberto logged an astounding 289 total progressive passes completed. This figure for Alberto ranked the playmaker at second within Europe’s top five leagues behind only Barcelona star Lionel Messi, who notched 317 total progressive passes completed.

Alberto simply had his way against even the stubborn defenses in Serie A over the season.
