Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic just capped off one of the best seasons of his Biancocelesti career.
The Serbian midfielder totaled for 32 appearances in Serie A play this past season and notched a notable 17 total goal involvements with eight goals scored and nine assists recorded.
The Lazio star was certainly among the most proficient midfielders in the league this past season. WhoScored certainly agreed as it posted a 7.30 rating for Milinkovic-Savic, which tied the midfielder with AS Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan for seventh among all Serie A players for this season.
Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo topped the leaderboard with a 7.61 rating as he finished the campaign as Serie A’s leading goal-scorer with 29 goals.
Milinkovic-Savic also recorded eight WhoScored ‘Man of the Match’ honours, which put him at two more than Lazio striker Ciro Immobile’s six.
This was well a fine season from Milinkovic-Savic and one of his most complete as a playmaking midfielder.
