All eyes continue to be on the fallout from the scheduled meeting between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and soon-to-be free agent manager Simone Inzaghi. The Italian manager is still slated to be out of a contract next month as he is yet to sign off on a new extension deal with Lazio.

The meeting between Lotito and Inzaghi at the Villa San Sebastiano recently came to an end with footage showing the Lazio manager leaving without providing a clear update on his contract extension situation.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Lotito urged Inzaghi to remain with Lazio and also turn away any interest from Inter Milan. The reigning Serie A champions joined the Inzaghi rumor mill today after it came to terms on a contract termination agreement with Antonio Conte.

Furthermore, the Italian-based outlet TuttoMercatoWeb notes that Inzaghi presented to Lotito the offer that he recently received from Inter club officials.

It is still unclear where Inzaghi stands with his Lazio career. The door is open for him to leave the club but Lotito does not want to see this transpire in the end.
