Torino Turn Their Attention to Lazio Target Simy & May Sell Verdi and Zaza to Fund Deal

Torino are interested in acquiring Lazio target Simy, who seems destined to leave Crotone this summer.

As reported by Italian newspaper Tuttosport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Granata are looking to have a strong summer transfer market in order to push the team up the table and improve upon the poor performances this season, having just barely avoided relegation.

Torino’s management have identified Crotone’s Simy as the top choice to raise the level of the squad. The 29-year-old Nigerian forward scored 20 goals in 38 games for the relegated side this season, being one of the few bright spots in the squad.

In order to finance the deal, Torino would be willing to sell both Simone Verdi and Simone Zaza, two forwards who haven’t given a great deal since their arrival in Turin.

Lazio have also been linked with a move for Simy, with the Biancocelesti looking to add more offensive options to the squad.
