Deadline day has arrived in the contract extension saga between Lazio club officials and manager Simone Inzaghi. The Italian manager is currently still slated to be out of a contract next month as he is yet to sign off on a new extension deal.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito and Inzaghi are set to resolve their extension dilemma in the coming hours during a key meeting, as noted by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Inzaghi was shown arriving at the Villa San Sebastiano to finally meet Lotito over this matter.

It remains to be seen what Inzaghi will elect to do, whether to remain at Lazio or possibly make a grand move to Inter Milan.
Lazio finished off the recent Serie A campaign at sixth place, which will see the side compete in next season’s UEFA Europa League competition.
