Lazio are interested in acquiring unwanted Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira on loan this summer.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 25-year-old Uruguayan midfielder will return to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid this summer, with the Spanish champions not keen on permanently signing the former Sampdoria man.

He is not wanted by the Gunners either and so will leave North London again this summer. Lazio, who were interested in him last summer too, have reignited their desire to acquire the Uruguayan.

A loan deal with a buy option of less than €20 million may appeal to Arsenal, who are now looking for a new home for the player.

Fiorentina and Torino are also keen to acquire Torreira, providing some competition to the Biancocelesti.

The 25-year-old Uruguayan made 26 appearances across all competitions this season for Atletico, for a total of 722 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and provided one assist.
