Real Betis Seriously Interested in Signing Lazio’s Luiz Felipe & Have Opened Talks

Real Betis are seriously interested in signing Lazio defender Luiz Felipe and have opened talks with the Biancocelesti.

As reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter earlier today, the Spanish side are keen to sign the 24-year-old Brazilian defender, who is contracted to the Roman club until the end of next season.

Lazio are interested in keeping Luiz Felipe and are expected to open contract renewal talks with the Brazilian soon, with the club waiting until the end of the season. They have prepared a deal for the player that will tie him to the club until 2026.

Now, however, the situation has changed. Talks have already opened between Real Betis and the Biancocelesti, and further developments are expected over the coming days and weeks.

Luiz Felipe made 18 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League this season, for a total of 1086 minutes. He missed a large part of the season after undergoing ankle surgery in January to solve a niggling issue, but he did manage to return for the business end of the campaign.
