Inzaghi has already come to terms with Inter to replace now-former manager Antonio Conte, and the announcement will come tomorrow, according to the report.
Inzaghi met with Lazio president Claudio Lotito on Wednesday to discuss the manager’s notable contract extension dilemma that had been dragging on for months. The Italian manager only came away from the meeting with a verbal agreement, the report added.
Inzaghi had a change of mind and now will become Inter’s new manager after a multi-year run with Lazio. The report further adds that Inter has offered the now-former Lazio manager a two-year deal worth €4 million per season, although it is not yet known whether the two will rework this proposed offer.
This scenario was well expected as Inzaghi had been in the final year of his contract. Now, Lazio will look ahead to finding an immediate replacement.
Sad to see him go after so many years. Curious if Sinisa gets the job now.
