Lazio has plans to meet with various managers as it begins to find their replacement for outgoing manager Simone Inzaghi.
One of the significant candidates for the position is former Juventus FC manager Maurizio Sarri, who’s scheduled to meet with Lazio to discuss the role. Nonetheless, he’s not the only candidate that the Rome-based club plans to meet with over the coming days.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, former Olympique de Marseille manager André Villas-Boas is in the Italian capital to discuss the vacant managerial role with Lazio.
The Portuguese tactician has successfully managed FC Porto and Zenit Saint Petersburg, leading both clubs to league titles. Furthermore, Villas-Boas has a UEFA Europa League trophy under his belt, winning the competition in 2010-11 with Porto.
In his last stop with Marseille, Villas-Boas led them to a UEFA Champions League birth before resigning from his position earlier this year. It seems after a few months away from football, Villas-Boas wants to get back into managing a club in 2021-22.
