Vedat Muriqi’s future is far from clear. His first season at Lazio forgetful, and now there’s talk about a possible departure for the 27-year-old forward. One of the reported clubs interested in Muriqi is his former club Fenerbahçe.
However, Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) reports that if the striker returned to Turkey, it wouldn’t be to join his ex-club. Uzundurukan adds that if Muriqi heads to Turkey, he wants to play for the other big club in the country, Galatasaray SK.

Lazio is open to letting the player leave this summer as there’s interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach. Along with these German clubs, Fenerbahçe is the other club eyeing their former player.
When it comes to a possible deal, Lazio wants a loan plus an option to buy for Muriqi, but the clubs showing interest are looking for a loan only, so it will be interesting to see what happens this summer.
