Photo – Lazio Star Immobile Bids Farewell to Inzaghi: “Thank You for Everything You’ve Taught Me”

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile said goodbye to Simone Inzaghi after the 45-year-old Italian coach’s departure from Rome ahead of a move to Inter.

As seen on Immobile’s Instagram page yesterday, the 31-year-old Italian bid farewell to Inzaghi, who has worked with the 31-year-old Italian striker since his arrival in Rome in 2016.

Immobile was one of Inzaghi’s most important players in the Biancocelesti squad and his 36 league goals last campaign helped the side return to the Champions League for the first time in over a decade.

Immobile posted a photo of himself and Inzaghi alongside the caption:

Five years spent together always fighting side by side for the good of this shirt. We have been through so much joy, pain, victories and defeats. You’ve helped me settle in off the pitch in this city that has become your city and is now also a little bit mine.

Thank you for everything you have taught me, there have been difficult times for me but you have always been by my side and I will always be grateful for that. Good luck with everything, you deserve the best, a hug.
